Our client Maarten van Leeuwen is an entrepreneur in his daily life. As a financial expert, he works as an accountant, but his passion for glasses and optical stores was instilled in him from an early age. In the meantime, the combination WSBdesign.com // Forbettershops.com has designed three stores for Maarten: Ten Voorde Optiek in Meerkerk, Van Dis Optiek in Hardinxveld, and Hoogendoorn Optiek in Zevenhuizen. After the renovations, all optical stores were renamed "Van Leeuwen Opticiens." Which one is the most beautiful? It always seems to be the latest.
Rick Blankenstijn: "The old store in Zevenhuizen was a 'technical store' with many practical compartments, doors, and flaps. However, to sell more glasses, Maarten asked us to create an update on a low budget. This was successfully achieved through a smart approach. Among other things, we used the Arcades style from Forbettershops.com. Curves and light colors create a pleasant atmosphere. The store design is a beautiful combination of custom-made interiors and modular interiors from Forbettershops.com.
We made the store more transparent and accessible. There's better visibility into the store without it being too transparent. We aimed for a cozy atmosphere, consciously avoiding matching the color scheme of the cozy store in Hardinxveld. This makes the store a great invitation to both old and new, younger customers. What also contributes is that I see an amazing collection of glasses."
