Deny Optic | Le Ban-Saint-Martin (FR)

From a small shop to a striking store concept

Rick Blankenstijn on Jean Baptiste: When I first stepped into his store, I saw a true entrepreneur in a neat, compact space. Jean Baptiste, as one of the few independent French eyewear entrepreneurs, is making a significant move toward experience, eye care, and collaboration with ophthalmologists. Working with Jean Baptiste and his father Denis was very pleasant from the start. From the very beginning, we were involved in all preparations: from climate control and plumbing to the specifications for the interior finish. What really stands out in the French context is the focus on eye care, the workshop, and the eye examination as the core of better vision. The low-vision aspect is nicely integrated into the shop concept, and the collaborative process with Jean Baptiste made the entire journey especially enjoyable. There was truly a great vibe.

Space, atmosphere, and smart presentation form the core of Deny Optic’s new store

Deny Optic moved from a small shop on a main road to a spacious building in the middle of the neighborhood, clearly visible from the main street. We decided to make the concept strong and distinctive: bold, with a clear hospitality vibe and lots of attention to the individual presentation of eyewear brands. More importantly: shopping becomes a celebration. In the concept, we designed a styling chair, giving the same feeling as trying on a new hairstyle at the hairdresser. At the front of the store is a hospitality area with a large, sturdy bar made of natural stone and striking, cool wallpaper panels. The atmosphere is bold and unique. To make the most of the budget, we also made extensive use of modular display elements from our new eyewear line by Forbettershops.

Forbettershops.com offers you the opportunity to design and shop a modular and budget-friendly store interior. These furniture pieces make it very easy to make adjustments without major structural changes.
